Foo Fighters was formed in Seattle by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in 1994 after that band dissolved following Kurt Cobain’s death.
I don’t know their music very well and only have their Greatest Hits album. The one song of theirs I know and listen to, often, is The Pretender. It’s a high-energy rock piece. It’s also a song our lad Kieran covered with vocal and acoustic guitar some years ago in a solo show he played. The show might have been at the former Rose ’n Bee (now the Handsome Daughter) on Sherbrook Avenue in Winnipeg, Canada. He also played that version, at my request, as one of his Quarantine Covers series on Instagram TV Videos.
Now you know a little about why this is my song of the day for today. Thanks for joining me here, and please enjoy.
Here’s the official video of the song from Foo Fighters’ YouTube channel:

You could certainly see your skills in the work you write. The world hopes for more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to say how they believe. Always follow your heart.
That’s so kind of you to say, Despina! I enjoy writing and sharing thoughts and memories about music.
